Bolton makeover

The Bolton Hotel recently cel­eb­rated its tenth birth­day, and in order to stay fresh, innov­at­ive and mod­ern, its recep­tion area is receiv­ing a refur­bish­ment. We spoke to hotel man­ager Meredith Ryan about refurb:

The Hotel is receiv­ing a refur­bish­ment because … We wanted to cre­ate a space that was not only invit­ing and com­fort­able for our guests, but we also wanted a soph­ist­ic­ated area that reflects our five star Qual­mark rating.

The Bolton Hotel is innov­at­ive and mod­ern because … It is the only Wel­ling­ton hotel to have free wifi Inter­net and iPads in all guest rooms. We even have our own cus­tom­ised Bolton app that was launched in 2013. The Bolton Hotel has been at the fore­front of tech­no­logy devel­op­ments in this area. Nat­ur­ally it was the next step to intro­duce this tech­no­logy into our recep­tion area, guests can now check in via an iPad. We have also changed from a tra­di­tion­al recep­tion desk to indi­vidu­al pods, which have been spe­cific­ally designed for the hotel.
